A toughened, versatile, liquid epoxy for permanent waterproof bonding of fiberglass, ceramics, metals, plastics, damp and difficult-to-bond woods. With a modulus of elasticity of 150,000 PSI, it is a bit more flexible than standard epoxies and polyester, but much stiffer than adhesive sealants. This gives G/flex 650 the ability to make structural bonds that can absorb the stress of expansion, contraction, shock, and vibration. It is ideal for bonding dissimilar materials. It can be modified with WEST SYSTEM fillers and additives, and used to wet-out fiberglass tapes and fabrics. Mixed at a 1:1 ratio, G/flex 650 gives you 45 minutes of working time at 72°F. It reaches an initial cure in 7 to 10 hrs and full cure in 24 hrs.
4oz. Gray Pigment by WEST System can be added to the mixed resin/hardener at a rate of approximately one teaspoon of pigment to 8 fl oz of epoxy. More pigment will increase opaqueness and mixture viscosity. One 4 fl oz bottle will tint approximately 1.5 gal of epoxy.
WEST System 503 Gray pigment is an epoxy-based liquid colorant used to tint the epoxy mixture to provide an even color base for the final finish system. The colored surfaces also tend to highlight flaws and imperfections. Cured, pigmented epoxy surfaces are not a final finish surface, but require an additional paint or UV filter coating for ultraviolet protection.
This West System 303 (3:1 ratio) Positive Displacement Pump dispenses three parts resin and one part hardener (3:1) by volume. It consists of two separate parallel pump systems, one for the resin and one for the hardener. The two systems are operated simultaneously by a single lever. The pump delivers 2.3 fl oz of resin and hardener per full stroke of the dispensing lever. The reservoirs hold two gallons of resin and one gallon of hardener. For use with 105 Epoxy Resin and 207 Special Clear Hardener or 209 Extra Slow Hardener.
WEST System 404 High-Density Adhesive Filler is an epoxy thickening additive. We developed it for maximum physical adhesive properties in hardware bonding, or anywhere that high-cyclic loads are anticipated. Blended with epoxy, it makes an excellent gap filler or structural fillets. Use 404 High-Density wherever you need an especially strong bond. You can blend it into any WEST System 105 Resin/20X Hardener combination, G/flex Epoxy 650, or G/5 Five-Minute Adhesive. Blended with epoxy, it will cure to an off-white color.
WEST System 406 Colloidal Silica is an epoxy thickening additive used to control the viscosity of the epoxy. It prevents epoxy runoff in vertical and overhead joints. This is a very strong filler. It creates a smooth mixture, ideal for general epoxy bonding and filleting. It is also our most versatile epoxy filler. Often used in combination with other fillers, 406 can be used to improve strength, abrasion resistance, and consistency of epoxy fairing compounds. The result is a tougher, smoother surface.
WEST System 407 Low-Density is a blended microballoon-based fairing filler for WEST System Epoxy. Add 407 to a mixture of epoxy resin/hardener to create a fairing putty. It’s easy to sand or carve this putty once it has cured. Low-Density Fairing Filler filler is reasonably strong on a strength-to-weight basis. You can blend it into any WEST System 105 Resin/20X Hardener combination, G/flex Epoxy 650, or G/5 Five-Minute Adhesive. Blended with epoxy, it will cure to a dark red/brown color.
WEST System 410 Microlight is the ideal low-density filler. When you blend it with epoxy, it creates a light, easily-worked epoxy fairing compound. It’s especially suited for fairing large areas. We formulated Microlight to mix into epoxy more easily than typical fairing fillers.
After epoxy thickened with 410 cures, it is about 30% easier to sand than most other epoxy-based fairing compounds. Epoxy thickened with Microlight feathers to a fine edge. It’s more economical for large fairing jobs.
We don’t recommend using 410 under dark paint, or other surfaces subject to high temperatures.
