WEST System Epoxy was developed in the late 1960's and early 1970's to work as both an adhesive and coating since then it has established itself as a industry leader in epoxy technology. WEST epoxy bonds well to many substrates including wood, fiberglass, carbon fiber, and metals. WEST Epoxy is also highly resistant to water penetration. WEST System Epoxy is available with 4 different hardeners; 209 Extra Slow Tropical Hardener, 207 Special Clear for clear finished wood parts, 206 Slow, and 205 fast hardener.
WEST System Epoxy is a versatile epoxy system that has been around for decades and is trusted by craftsmen worldwide. In our books and videos section we carry many manuals written by WEST System for the use and application of WEST epoxies in various different projects.
Recommended Temperature Range for 205 Hardeners is 40F to 80F, at 72F the 205 hardener has a 9-12 minute pot life, keep in mind that epoxies set up faster in large masses or hot temperatures.
Recommended Temperature Range for 206 Hardeners is 60F to 90F, at 72F the 206 hardener has a 20-25 minute pot life, keep in mind that epoxies set up faster in large masses or hot temperatures.
Recommended Applications for WEST 206 Hardener are general bonding, fabric application, and barrier coating.

Recommended Applications for WEST 207 Hardener are fabric application and wood coating where a crystal clear finish is desired. Such as wood strip or stitch and glue boats.

These thin polyurethane foam covers are highly recommended for epoxy application. The thin foam allows you to control film thickness, avoid drips and runs, and get a smoother coating. The 7″ covers can be cut for smaller jobs, narrow strips and tight areas. Cut segments to make an ideal tipping brush.
WEST System Six10® Thickened Epoxy Adhesive combines the strength and reliability and excellent physical properties of a two-part WEST System Epoxy with point-and-shoot convenience. The self-metering coaxial cartridge dispenses a gap-filling structural epoxy that bonds tenaciously to wood, metals, fiberglass and concrete. The tube comes with a static mixer that lets you lay down a bead of thickened epoxy with any standard caulking gun.
Six10’s shear thinning properties make it “thinner” as it’s worked. It can be easily tooled into a non-sagging fillet or used to wet out light to moderate reinforcing fabrics like fiberglass. The hardener provides a long open time but has fast thru-cure. Six10 stays workable in the static mixer for 42 minutes, making it practical for long or complicated assemblies.
Each tube of Six10 comes equipped with a static mixing wand. Additional static mixing wands are available in sets of two or twelve.
650-K Aluminum Boat Repair Kit by WEST System. Repair the most common problem with aluminum boats and canoes: leaking seams and rivets in aluminum boats with the Aluminum Boat Repair Kit. Each kit contains 8 ounces of G/flex 650 Toughened Epoxy, adhesive filler, application syringes, mixing pots and reusable mixing sticks and protective gloves. Illustrated, detailed instructions explain how to repair leaking seams and rivets in aluminum boats. All components are contained in a sturdy, resealable package.
8oz. Kit, G/5® Five-Minute Adhesive by WEST System. This is an easy to use, 2-part resin/hardener system for quick repairs, tooling and general bonding. May be used in spot applications to hold parts in position while standard epoxy bonds cure. Bonds to wood, fiberglass and metal. Not recommended for long-term bonds subject to high loads or moisture. It can be modified with WEST System fillers. One-to-one mixture, no pumps are required. Cures in 3-5 minutes.
4oz. White Pigment for WEST System Epoxy can be added to the mixed resin/hardener at a rate of approximately one teaspoon of pigment to 8 fl oz of epoxy. More pigment will increase opaqueness and mixture viscosity. One 4 fl oz bottle will tint approximately 1.5 gal of epoxy.
WEST System 501 White pigment is an epoxy-based liquid colorant used to tint the epoxy mixture to provide an even color base for the final finish system. The colored surfaces also tend to highlight flaws and imperfections. Cured, pigmented epoxy surfaces are not a final finish surface, but require an additional paint or UV filter coating for ultraviolet protection.
Recommended Temperature Range for 209 Hardener is 70F to 100F, at 72F the 209 hardener has a 40-50 minute pot life, keep in mind that epoxies set up faster in large masses or hot temperatures.
Recommended Applications for WEST 209 Hardener are general bonding, fabric application, and barrier coating.
WEST System 403 Microfibers Adhesive Filler, is a fine fiber blend. Use it to thicken epoxy blended resin/hardener and create a multi-purpose adhesive. It’s most popular use is for bonding wood. Epoxy thickened with microfibers has good gap-filling qualities but will still do an excellent job of wetting-out/penetrating into wood fibers. You can blend it into any WEST SYSTEM 105 Resin/20X Hardener combination, G/flex Epoxy 650, or G/5 Five-Minute Adhesive. Blended with epoxy, it will cure to an off-white color.
WEST System 404 High-Density Adhesive Filler is an epoxy thickening additive. We developed it for maximum physical adhesive properties in hardware bonding, or anywhere that high-cyclic loads are anticipated. Blended with epoxy, it makes an excellent gap filler or structural fillets. Use 404 High-Density wherever you need an especially strong bond. You can blend it into any WEST System 105 Resin/20X Hardener combination, G/flex Epoxy 650, or G/5 Five-Minute Adhesive. Blended with epoxy, it will cure to an off-white color.
WEST System 405 Filleting Blend Adhesive Filler is a strong, wood-toned epoxy filler. Add it to your epoxy mix when making epoxy joints and fillets on naturally finished wood. It mixes easily with epoxy. This product helps you create smooth fillets that will need only a little sanding. Its color is a consistent brown. 405 Filleting Blend can be blended with other WEST SYSTEM Fillers to modify the shade of your epoxy mix. You can blend it into any WEST System 105 Resin/20X Hardener combination, G/flex Epoxy 650, or G/5 Five-Minute Adhesive.
