WEST System Epoxy was developed in the late 1960's and early 1970's to work as both an adhesive and coating since then it has established itself as a industry leader in epoxy technology. WEST epoxy bonds well to many substrates including wood, fiberglass, carbon fiber, and metals. WEST Epoxy is also highly resistant to water penetration. WEST System Epoxy is available with 4 different hardeners; 209 Extra Slow Tropical Hardener, 207 Special Clear for clear finished wood parts, 206 Slow, and 205 fast hardener.
A convienent way to dispense WEST System Epoxies. Pumps are calibrated so that you just need one pump out of each side (epoxy and hardener) to be on ratio.
Pump set includes three pumps, one resin side pump and two hardener side pumps. The hardener side pumps are different, one fits the 205/206 hardener cans and the other fits the 207/209 hardener cans.
The pump kit includes parts to fit group A and B size cans. Extensions to fit group C jugs come with the Group C product.
Repair cracks and scrapes, gelcoat blisters, loose hardware, delaminated decks and panels, damaged keels and holes up to 1″ diameter in solid laminates up to ¼” thick, and smaller holes in thicker laminates. 9oz. Kit, G/flex® 655 Adhesive Epoxy by West System. This toughened, versatile epoxy is conveniently pre-thickened for permanent waterproof bonding of plastic, fiberglass, ceramics, metals, damp and difficult-to-bond woods. With a modulus of elasticity of 150,000 PSI, it is a bit more flexible than standard epoxies and polyester, but much stiffer than adhesive sealants. This gives G/flex 655 the ability to make structural bonds that can absorb the stress of expansion, contraction, shock, and vibration. It is ideal for bonding dissimilar materials. Mixed at a 1:1 ratio, G/flex 655 gives you 45 minutes of working time at 72°F. It reaches an initial cure in 7 to 10 hours and full cure in 24 hours.
For metering larger quantities of 105 Resin and 207 Special Clear or 209 Extra Slow (3:1 ratio) Hardeners. The 306-23 Metering Pump will reduce mixing time and waste on large projects. A carrying handle allows you to move the pump where the work is. Reservoirs hold one gallon of resin, one quart of hardener. Dispenses approximately 0.5 fl oz of resin/hardener per pump stroke (about 1 qt per minute).
WEST System 420 Aluminum Powder will increase the hardness and abrasion resistance of the coated surface and improve its moisture resistance. 420 provides limited protection from ultraviolet light in areas that will not be protected with other coatings, and can be used as a base for subsequent painting. Cures to a metallic gray color.
Add to mixed resin/hardener at the rate of 5%-10% by volume or 1.5 tablespoons per 8 fl oz of epoxy (10 strokes each of resin and hardener from 300 Mini Pumps). 36 oz of 420 will modify up to five gallons of mixed epoxy.
WEST System Reuseable Mixing Sticks are a practical mixing, application, filleting and cleaning tool. Squared, beveled end reaches mixing pot corners for thorough mixing and blending in fillers and for cleaning up excess epoxy. Use the rounded end to shape 3/8″ radius fillets. Cured epoxy pops of easily, so they can be reused many times. ¾”-wide x 5½”. (pack of 8)

A proprietary blend designed to improve cured epoxy’s moisture exclusion effectiveness. WEST System 422 is used as a barrier coating additive to help prevent gelcoat blistering in polyester fiberglass boat bulls. 422 also increases the epoxy’s abrasion resistance. Cures to a light gray color.
Add to mixed resin/hardener at the rate of 15 to 20% by volume or 3 tablespoons per 8 fl oz of epoxy. 16 oz can of 422 will modify approximately half a gallon of mixed epoxy.
